The City of Menomonie plants and maintains trees in boulevards and right-of-way to enhance our urban forest. Residents may also plant trees in these areas with prior approval from the City Forester and in accordance with the Boulevard Tree Planting Policy.
To request approval, residents must submit a Boulevard Tree Planting Application form and follow planting requirements, including species selection, spacing, and utility clearance. The City of Menomonie Urban Forestry Board maintains a Recommended Boulevard Tree List, which identifies suitable trees based on size, site conditions, and overhead utilities.
