The City of Menomonie has earned the Tree City USA designation, a framework for a healthy and sustainable urban forestry program in our community. The City's urban forest is providing many benefits - improving our air and water, providing wildlife habitat, reducing the urban heat island and increasing property values. Citizens can take pride in this designation as they appreciate the value of the trees in their yards, along streets and in parks. To celebrate our community's passion for trees, the City of Menomonie is recognizing individuals, organizations and businesses for their contributions to the City's urban forestry program. Awards are presented during the annual Arbor Day celebration.
