Pet Licensing Policy
Every person who owns, harbors, or keeps a dog or cat more than five months of age on January 1st, or 5 months of age within the license year, shall annually, on or before the date the dog or cat becomes 5 months of age, pay the dog or cat license tax and obtain a license, as provided by the provisions of Chapter 174.05 of the Wisconsin Statutes, and Chapter 11 of the Menomonie City Ordinances.
The license year commences on January 1st and ends on the following December 31st. The cost is $6 for neutered males and spayed females, and $11 for unneutered males and unspayed females. A late fee of $5 will be charged if not obtained by March 31, or within 30 days of acquiring ownership or if not obtained on or before dog or cat reached licensable age.

If your address begins with an "E" or an "N" you need to license your dog or cat in the Township you live in.
Dog Tags
Dog park tags are also sold at City Hall. Fees are as follows:
- City of Menomonie Resident Fee - $20
- Non-Residents Fee - $28
All dogs must display a valid city, town, or county license to purchase a dog park tag.
