Junior Police Program

Explore Your Future in Law Enforcement

Are you between the ages of 14 and 20 and considering a career in law enforcement or criminal justice? The Menomonie Police Department’s Junior Police Program offers a hands-on introduction to the world of policing, helping young individuals develop foundational skills and gain real-world experience.

What You’ll Learn

  • Participants receive training in a variety of basic law enforcement techniques, including:
  • Room clearing procedures
  • Traffic stop protocols
  • Basic first aid and emergency response
  • Crime scene processing
  • And much more!

Get Involved

  • In addition to classroom and practical training, participants will:
  • Volunteer with the Menomonie Police Department
  • Assist with community events and outreach
  • Build leadership skills, teamwork, and communication skills

Advanced Opportunities

After completing the program, members ages 18–21 may become eligible for the Advanced Junior Police Program, offering even deeper involvement and preparation for future careers in law enforcement.
